To: EDB Date: 2023.8.11 Hi Michaela, I wanted to express my gratitude for the meeting we had. Yesterday, I had a conversation with MegaEase's Technical Director regarding EDB (EnterpriseDB), and he conveyed the need to temporarily suspend the overseas partnership plan. This decision stems from the unfortunate passing of our CEO, which has resulted in the absence of a key decision-maker and leader. The company has opted for a more conservative approach, although I personally hold reservations about the appropriateness of this strategy. Upon careful examination of the EDB website, it has come to my attention that there are currently no partners listed for the Chinese region. This, in my view, presents a unique opportunity. If you believe that tapping into the Chinese-language market is essential and to facilitate the recruitment of more suitable partners, I suggest the following preparatory measures: 1. Create a Chinese version of the key introductory pages on the EDB website. 2. Submit EDB's informational materials to the Chinese Postgres community at http://www.postgres.cn/. China has already amassed a substantial number of Postgres developers and experts. Over the past decade, the entrepreneurial landscape in China has been remarkably dynamic, with many individuals showing a strong inclination towards starting businesses based on open-source software. While I am not an expert in database technology, but eager to seize the opportunity to learn and contribute in any way, may possible to promote open source objectives. Taking into consideration the standpoint of EDB and the broader industry ecosystem, I offer the aforementioned insights. From EDB's perspective, and in consideration of the industry ecosystem and long-term goals, I have provided you with the aforementioned feedback. I also extend my gratitude to Shaun and another colleague, whose name I have unfortunately forgotten, for joining me in the meeting. 你好 Michaela, 感谢前天的会议，昨天我和MegaEase的技术负责人谈过EDB，他要求将海外合作伙伴计划暂停搁置，因为CEO去世，缺少了关键决策者和领导人，公司采取了收缩保守策略，尽管我不认为这种做法是对的。

将EDB的介绍资料递交到Postgres中文社区http://www.postgres.cn/；
中国已经聚集了相当规模的Postgres开发者和专家，中国的创业市场在过去10年非常活跃，很多人愿意基于开源软件创业。由于我还不是数据库技术专家，但我愿意找机会学习，并帮助你们做一些推广和力所能及的事。
